Exactly WHERE is the 2015 AMAZING HOUSTON COMIC CON taking place?
Amazing HOUSTON Comic Con takes places at the George R Brown Convention Center, located at 1001 Avenida de las Americas, Houston, Texas 77010.

The Actual Convention will take place in the HALL E portion of the convention, which is the hall closest to the Hilton and the Walk ways.

Registration will take place on the FIRST FLOOR, Ground Level of the George R Brown Convention Center,Just outside the main doors of the convention

Panels take place in the Main Theatre Room, which is located INSIDE the main hall. The second track of panels take place on the 3rd floor in the A/B room. If you have ANY questions, a staff member or volunteer can point you in the right direction.

Is registration in the same place as it was Last Year, in 2014?
No- with the renovations of the GRBrown Convention Center, we have ample space for registration on the ground level, just outside of HALL E.

What are the Show Hours? What time does it open? What time does it close?
Main Floor Hours are as follows:
FRI 9/4: 3pm-8pm
SAT 9/5: 10am-7pm*
SUN 9/6: 10am-6pm
*On Saturday Night, the Costume Contest begins in the Main Theatre Room, at the close of the convention. No more transactions will take place, and folks will be moved off the floor. The Costume Contest should last until approximately 8:30pm

I already Purchased my ticket, where do I go to get into the AMAZING HOUSTON COMIC CON?
If you have already purchased your ticket online, proceed to the Check In Counter on the FIRST FLOOR of the George R Brown Convention Center. This is right outside Hall E. Bring your RECEIPT and our staff will check you in, get you a wrist band, you can then enjoy the Amazing Houston Comic Con!

I haven’t purchased my tickets yet- can I get them AT AMAZING HOUSTON COMIC CON?
YES, you can purchase General Admission tickets for single day, 3 day passes and Premium/VIP at the event. You will have one additional pit stop though- go to the Ticket Counter at the Registration area, where you can make your transaction. The Box Office window will be open 3 hours before the doors on each of the days. For tickets to Amazing Houston Comic Con, we will be accepting cash, or Credit Card (Visa/MasterCard, & AMEX)

I just got my tickets to Amazing Houston Comic Con, can I go into the main floor?
After you get your tickets either online or at the Box office, you must redeem for a wrist band. You cannot enter the main hall without the wrist band.

I plan on bringing my son or daughter to AMAZING HOUSTON COMIC CON, do I have to purchase a ticket for them?
Kids 10 and under are FREE with paid adult.
When you go to the CHECK IN COUNTER, please notify the staff.
Children must be with adults at all times.

My Son or Daughter is over the age of 10, how much are their tickets?
All tickets to AMAZING HOUSTON COMIC CON are General Admission. There are no price differences based on age, above the “Free Kids” cut off.

I Purchased a single day ticket to the AMAZING HOUSTON COMIC CON, can I use it for ANY single day of the weekend?
Single Day General Admission Tickets are only valid the day they are issued for. There are no exchanges or refunds.
Groupons and other similar offers are only valid on days they are issued.

I Purchased a 3 day ticket can I give my ticket to my friends on the day that I’m not using it?
All Tickets are non transferable. Each attendee is issued a wrist band that must be worn the entire time. These cannot be taken off. If wrist bands are cut or tampered there is $20 reissue fee.

VIP FAQ
THE ORIGINAL VIP and OTHER PREMIUM PACKAGES
I bought a VIP Ticket Upgrade from the website, does this include a ticket to the convention?
Everyone coming to the AMAZING HOUSTON COMIC CON is required to purchase an Admission to the show. This can be a single day ticket or a 3 day pass. VIP Tickets and Other Premium Packages such as DEADPOOL, STAR WARS, SAILOR MOON, or Original were offered through the official website/Eventbrite—- these included admission to the event. UPGRADES are offered directly from the Amazing Houston Comic Con site or from the staff members at the show- these do NOT include admission.

For VIP and Other Premium Packages, you are being upgraded with key privileges such as early entrance, reserved seating for panels, and special signing times, etc. You will also receive a GIFT bag loaded with specialty items. You will need a General Admission Ticket to use with your VIP UPGRADE.

How does the Early Entrance work for VIPs & PREMIUM PACKAGE HOLDERS?
VIPS will get into the Main Hall of the Amazing Houston Comic Con approximately 15-30 minutes before General Admission. VIP and Premium Package Holders will have their own separate entrance to the convention.

How does the Reserved Seating for the Panels work for VIPS?
There is no need to VIP Members to camp out for extended periods of time before ANY of the General Admission panels at the the convention. There is reserved seating if VIPs come to the Main Theatre Room or the3rd Floor A/B Room, 10 minutes before any panel. After each panel, while the room must clear each time, VIP Members can remain in the room, and move up to improve their seats if desired. If VIP Members come into the Panel rooms less than 10 minutes before, they will be a part of the General Admission seating, which is first come first serve.

What is the FAST PASS on the DEADPOOL PACKAGE?
Deadpool Package Holders get the front of the line privilege on the Saturday signing session at 2:00pm The Fast Pass is ONLY good for this session. While Rob Liefeld will be signing on both Friday and Saturday, the FAST PASS option is only good for Front of the Line on Saturday.

What is the FAST PASS on the STAR WARS PACKAGE?
Star Wars VIP Members will receive front of the line privilege on any signing or Photo Op Sessions with David Prowse. There will be a second line for him for all members with the proper credentials

I Have a Original VIP. Do I Get Priority Line placement from Rob Liefeld, like the Deadpool VIP Members? Do I get priority for Star Wars?
The answer is NO. Each package contains different perks and benefits, based on price, interest, and availability. And while Original VIP Members do not get the FAST PASS/Front of the line during these sessions, Original VIP Members will be the second group of fans getting signatures, before the General Admission.

What do I need my actual VIP BADGE or Premium Badge for?
VIP Badge alerts the staff to differentiate between crowd members. This will let the attendee get in line for the Special Signings and have the reserved seating for the panels. The badges are non transferable, and it is the right of Amazing Comic Con staff to revoke badges if abuse occurs.

In my Gift Bag, I want to Exchange an item, based on condition personal preference or something else entirely. Is this possible?
The Gift Bags are a special thank you from the Amazing Houston Comic Con to the attendees. No items can be exchanged, or individually refunded, as these are indeed considered “gifts”.

Contents of my Gift Bag are slightly different than those described, why is that?
Gift Bag contents are subject to change based on availability of such items. We will make every effort to present the content as close to the original description as possible, only making fair substitutions in the process. When certain limited edition items run out, we will make every effort to replace.

AMAZING HOUSTON COMIC CON STORE And Exclusive Comics
I Ordered Exclusive Comics Online, where do I pick these up?
Amazing Houston Comic Con had several items for sale through its website store.These included the DC Exclusive Items such as Harley Quinn #19 Exclusive, Superman #43 Exclusive, and others. If you have ordered these or other items through the store, please go to the VIP Counter to redeem. Please bring your receipt and Photo ID, and our staff will immediately fill your orders.

While the Amazing Houston Comic Con Staff will make every effort to pull the best copies of the print run, we cannot not guarantee specific grading, other than “Like New”. Sorry, but there are no refunds on any pre-order books.

At this time all pre-orders are for PICK-UP at the Amazing Houston Comic Con Only. We currently do not have the option for mail order. All copies must be obtained initially at the convention to insure than all parties who attend, who desire the books, have the opportunity to purchase. Amazing Comic Con cannot refund orders or requests for mail order.

General FAQ
Can I bring my camera?
Yes! there are so many photo opportunities on the Amazing Houston Comic Con floor: Great Comic Pros to fun Cosplay and more. We have a general rule though with pictures- Common Sense and Common Courtesy. Be sure to ask before snapping away. Please be respectful of any signs indicating “No Personal Photos”. David Prowse/Darth Vader, Sailor Moon Cast Reunion, and others fall into this category. If Media guest handlers or Amazing Comic Con staff ask you to put down cameras or cell phones, please be respectful of our guests.

Can I bring my own Lunch, food, and drinks inside the George R Brown Convention Center and specifically the Main Hall E?
The George R Brown Convention Center in Houston has a strict policy against outside food and drinks. There will be a full food service area in the Main Exhibit Hall E, in the back of the hall, and several additional concession options upstairs on the second floor as well. Please do not bring any outside food into the convention center main hall though as Security and convention staff will ask you to throw out any such items.

AMAZING HOUSTON COMIC CON ATTENDANCE AND REFUND POLICY and DISCLAIMER REGARDING SPECIAL GUESTS
Admission into the Amazing Houston Comic Con requires the purchase of a ticket. After tendering tickets at the Registration counter, attendees will receive a wristband in exchange for the ticket purchased. In the event that a ticket provides for multiple-day attendance, a single wristband will be provided for the entirety of the event. No replacement wristbands will be provided to any vendor or attendee.

Tickets to the Amazing Houston Comic Con are non-refundable, whether purchased through the Box Office, online through Eventbrite, Groupon, Living Social or from any other outlet. All sales are final, and the vendors/venues do not allow us to refund tickets once they have been purchased. Please review your order before purchasing tickets.

Amazing Houston Comic Con strives to provide you with the best experience possible. We have lined up a series of Special Guests for your entertainment. Though we do not anticipate that any Special Guests will cancel, from time to time there are emergencies where the Special Guest unexpectedly cancels his or her appearance. Amazing Houston Comic Con has no control over the Special Guest’s schedule and is not responsible for any cancellations. We are unable to provide ticket refunds if a Special Guest cancels.

In the event that you have purchased a Special Guest-specific VIP package relative to that Special Guest’s appearance at the Amazing Houston Comic Con, and he or she must cancel his or her appearance, please contact us for more information at INFO@AmazingHoustonComicCon.com
